Back before the days of the Internet, I was on a BBS ran by a friend of mine from a local computer club.
His sister was a hard core fembot, environmentalist and liberal. I cracked a joke about the French military finally doing something right when it sank the Greenpeace boat Rainbow Warrior. She came back at me like a rabid Doberman, telling me I was mean because somebody died in the attack. I forgot what I said in response, but she was apoplectic!
