Courtesy of Lubos, the hardest working man in string theory, I learned of this excellent aggregator for all things #MotherFuckingScience: Science 2.0. Go there, put it in your sidebar, all that good stuff.
Along the way, I was also reminded of the lesser, but still functional, utility of the Real Clear Science site--having become disenchanted with its cousin, Real Clear Politics, I had not visited in years. But there is some stuff there worth a perusal.
Now, there comes the issue of finding some Linky Love art that meets the standards you've come to expect--while still expressing some level of scienciness. No mean feat.
Luckily, I recalled that the protagonist in the original (not Asimov's)1939 short story "I, Robot" was named Adam Link. So, the next step was a small one...
I suddenly feel the urge to upload a large file.

The third one. :)

ReplyDeleteI generally avoid high-maintenance women.
ReplyDeleteSound wisdom, anon.
ReplyDeleteThere is some really cool stuff on that science-esque site, but they are fully in the camp of the Glow Bull Wormists. I won't be bookmarking them. Sure, they have a few articles, sprinkled here and there, about problems with bird shredders and such, but they are full-tilt, balls-to-the-wall onboard with the Goreacle and his Band of Merry Marxists.
ReplyDeleteFuck 'em and feed 'em fish heads.
Poisoned fish heads, BC.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't even looking at the environmental stuff, BC. But yeah they do seem to be reaching for anything that will "save" thermageddon theory--ei the unpredicted pacific cooling, and therefore "the pause," is due to arctic warming, which there isn't any of.
ReplyDeleteSo, it is useful for mockery fodder if nothing else. BEsides, I needed an excuse to post hot cyborg babes.
Any port in a storm, as they say! :-)
ReplyDeletePS: Who needs a fucking excuse to post hot cyborg snoochettes? ;-)
