@ Skoonj - dragging things to your desktop is bad practice. It's part of the operating system, and not the place to store large files. Set up a "Downloads" folder in your documents. Then right click on the GIF (or whatever else you want to save), browse to this new folder, and click "Save".
If you want a program or file to be easily available from the desktop, create a "Shortcut" by right clicking on it and selecting "Send To" - "Desktop (create shortcut)" This makes a tiny link to the original, rather than storing the complete file.
Microdave, I tried that and it worked. Here's my next question: can I now send it via e-mail and have it work? Is there also some procedure for that I should use?

Polar bears ONLY in the Arctic. Penguins ONLY in the Antarctic, so the .gif although funny, is factually wrong :-(
How can I copy the gif so I can e-mail it, and the motion is still there?

Latest news is that the Chinese Icebreaker has turned back, as it couldn't deal with the ice thickness - apparently up to 4 metres thick (about 13ft).

Well, the drag thingy didn't work. Must be something left out, or some software I don't have. I had to restart the computer after the attempt!
