Yes, even though gays make up less than 3.5 percent of the US population, we will soon be coerced by the thought policing minions of political correctness into bowing to the "rights" of an even smaller subset of that population--trannies.
And woe betide the wayfarer who does not know his/her trannies. A quick primer: transvestites are cross-dressers, transsexuals (transgendered--because sex and gender are two different things, they say.) have been surgically and hormonally altered to appear as the opposite sex/gender. In between--yes, there is an in between--you have T-Girls, Trappers, etc., men who look--some quite convincingly--like women, in every aspect but three.
"Michael David Battle, an Intersex man of trans experience, jokingly pulls his fiancee Evelyn Pavlova of the couch so they can continue packing for their move from a Dormont apartment to a Munhall House."(Emphasis added)
An Intersex man of trans experience. The mind reels. Another "identity" to ad to the alphabet soup of the LGBTQIA spectrum of gayosity. The funny/tragic thing here is that, as Stacy McCain recently noted in a series on RadFems, eventually each of these micro-demographics will scratch the others eyes out for their slice of the sexual diversity pie. (See what I did there, twice?) In other words:
Go ahead and guess what the "Q," "I" and "A" stand for. Have fun.
Okay, I'll give you one. The "I" is for the aforementioned Intersex, which apparently indicates some level of hermaphrodicity. And here again, they've already been hoist on their own petard by choosing this terminology. By their own rules, shouldn't it be Intergender?
I expect a person of indeterminate gender will issue an interminable screed about that.
