Wellll...technically it is a Linky Love contender.
Oh right, beaverS... If the &^%%$$ trees weren't cut down by the little rascals the CO2 would be taken up in the trees' growth; sequestration in the soil wouldn't even be a factor. (F'ng academics. Can't see the forest for the trees.) The real benefit of course is the creation of wetlands. As you probably know, We Canadians eat beaver...a lot; they're even on our Canadian nickel! :) It's common knowledge that our Capital is the place to go for beaver: http://wastelessfood.blogspot.ca/2010/05/beaver-tails-recipe-taste-of-ottawa.html
Hell, beaver is a staple in my diet. Some of us Southerners call 'em "Whiskerbiscuits", though. Some of them come au naturale, but, for the more discriminating palate, others are served up sans pelt.
I believe that I recently posted a link in the comments to that lovely bit of Snoochery as a candidate for the "Linky Love" stable. ;-)

Beavers can save the world from anything. They're the greatest of God's inventions.
