RIP Jack Bruce, 1943-2014
I didn't find out about this until about three hours ago. He died Saturday...liver disease. He had cancer about a decade ago and received a transplant, which allowed him to play those Cream reunion dates at MSG and Royal Albert Hall in 2005. I was going to drag my brother (who'd seen them back in '68) to one of the NY shows until I found the cheapest seats available were $1,500. So long, Jack. You wrote some of my favorite tunes. Your Evening Interlude: Jeff & Eric--Crossroads
That first solo of Jeff's is the shit. All the tricks...effortlessly.
Eric's better in this one, but some asshole stands in front of the camera while Jeff is playing. The dueling leads are longer and better.
